I was fortunate enough to pass an interview with Dongdao and was offered a review test. The requirement of the test was to create a virtual logo design for a national beauty brand, positioned as a fast fashion, urban boutique national beauty retail brand.
The name of the project is "Soeng Lam", in order to provide two directions, I used graphic-based and font-based logo design to reflect different brand tone and brand proposition. Plan 1 was inspired by the initials of the brand name & the Soeng Lam arch & the idea of a woman breaking free from constraints, Plan 2 was inspired by the angular carving of the characters & the traditional beauty of the Chinese character strokes & the style of the new-age woman who is capable of being stylish and fashionable.
